it is amazing how many people come and live in canada. also I think that when one contrie helps another it show a good example of globalization. I agree with Mother Theresa when she said that without the one drop the oceane would be less. I agree with this becuase no matter weather you treat those around you good or bad, you will change them and that causes them to act diffrently. no matter how slight.

I don't think that if you are born on earth it makes you a global citizen becuase there is nowhere else to go. but that dosen't mean that you don't have to help other people. I think that you have to choose to be a global citizen. I think that Wangari Maathai is a good example of a global citezen becuase she is not just trying to help herself and her own family. She is also trying to help others and the futre generations.

Global connections show in many cities many ways. they show in transnational companies, the food you buy the people you meet. without the global connections people would have much less of anything the global connections are a important part of our city.

it is a little bit depressing how with companies they are sort of ethical. they will be good unless they can do better an make more money by being bad and bending the law. over all this aspect of globalization is bad.

I think that people should attempt to find ways to get oil in better ways. right now the way they are doing it damages the environment. we should also start looking for an alternative thing to use when it runs out. it's not going to last forever.

it is a little bit scary when you think about how fast a disease can spread. when the black plague spread throughout Europe it killed 75 million people. if they had planes trains and cars back then it would have spread even faster than it did. if it had another outbreak now. billions of people may have died.

in terms of globalization I think that I am farily aware of it. at the begening of the year I don't think I had ever really thought about it before. but the other day I learned about the affect of virtual communites on globalization. I knew some people were almost always on them but t suprised me just how much people tended to be on them, and how much it affected them.

I had also learned about transnational companies effect on globalization. I don't even know if I ever even really thought about what effect they just might have on other smaller corporations.

when I saw the chart for the imagration part of the work I was suprised at the amount of imagrent that went to toronto. i was expecting about 500000 people to a couple of major cites and then smaller amount spread across to smaller areas.

throughout this week I have learned many things about the gender gap outsorcing and also A little bit about the problem of foriegne debt. I think that globalization is normally a good thing. without globalization we would not have a lot of the things we have now. EX food from all over the world. but reading about it's streanghts and weaknesses, it shows that it can influence people badly. it makes less develpoped contries to do what they don't want to do and wrekes there contries. Globalization can cause the loss of jobs and causes women to be under paid.

I think that the IMF is not really fair. if someone wants help and you give it to them and instentaly want youre money back they won't always be able to get it back to you. I think that the IMF should give them time to do this. I think that the marbaury's shoes are a good idea. It shows that you don't have a big expensive shoes to be cool.

I think that people should accept the fair trade market so everyone benifets. not just the people that sell it and send it. the growers do the most and they get paid the least. i do not belive that companies should out sorce jobs just to make prfit when they are already makeing billions of dollars a year. then they should leave there jops in the contries they start in or at least by the same wages overseas.

actuualy when I read over todays work I was supriesed!!! I knew that there was a gender gap in less devoloped contutries but deffenitaly not in Canada! I think that there shoulden't be a gender gap because, everyone is equale in God's eyes.
